About Bharat Bio Industries
A new-generation biomass fuel company on a mission to power India's industries sustainably — manufactured in the heart of Gujarat, delivered across India.
Manufacturing Excellence from Ahmedabad
Bharat Bio Industries (BBI) is a biomass pellets manufacturer based in Bakrol, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. We produce premium, high-GCV (4200–4600 Kcal/kg) biomass pellets that serve as a direct, cost-effective alternative to coal for India's industrial sector.
Founded with a clear purpose — to accelerate India's industrial transition away from fossil fuels — BBI was built by engineers and entrepreneurs who understood both the energy demands of Indian manufacturing and the vast untapped potential of Gujarat's agricultural waste streams.
Our facility is strategically positioned in Ahmedabad's industrial corridor, providing easy access to Gujarat's rich agricultural residue supply and seamless logistics to clients across western and central India.
We operate at the intersection of the circular economy and industrial energy — transforming crop residues that would otherwise be burned in fields into high-value, export-quality biomass fuel. Every metric ton of BBI pellets replaces fossil coal and keeps agricultural smoke out of Gujarat's air.
* Specifications are for standard high-GCV grade. Actual values may vary by batch and raw material. Custom grades available on request. Pricing indicative — final rate depends on volume and delivery location.
To be the catalyst in India's transition to a carbon-neutral industrial landscape — delivering the highest-quality biomass fuel solutions that make clean energy the economically superior choice for every manufacturer.

Built on Verifiable Quality
Every consignment from BBI ships with an independent lab certificate. Our quality standards exceed what most domestic boiler operators require.
Our Manufacturing Process
From raw agricultural waste to certified industrial fuel — a 6-step process with zero chemical additives and zero production waste.
Feedstock Sourcing
Premium agricultural residues — cotton stalks, groundnut shells, mustard husk, and sawdust — sustainably collected from Gujarat farmers within a 150 km radius of our Bakrol facility.
Drying & Sizing
Raw biomass is dried to below 10% moisture content using industrial rotary dryers, then hammer-milled to a uniform particle size for consistent pellet density.
High-Pressure Pelleting
Dried material is fed into ring-die pellet presses operating at 120–180°C and 150–200 bar pressure. No binders or additives — the natural lignin acts as binding agent.
Cooling & Screening
Hot pellets are cooled to ambient temperature, screened to remove fines, and graded by size. Undersized material is recycled back into the press for zero waste.
Lab Testing & Certification
Each production batch is sampled and tested by an independent laboratory for GCV, ash content, moisture, sulphur, and bulk density. A quality certificate is issued with every consignment.
Bagging & Dispatch
Certified pellets are packed in moisture-proof HDPE bags (25 kg or 50 kg) or bulk-loaded directly into trucks for large orders. Dispatch within 2–5 business days for Gujarat.
Gujarat Sourcing & Sowing Cycles
How we secure year-round raw materials across Gujarat's seasonal harvests to prevent winter and monsoon supply shocks.
Groundnut Shells
Collected immediately post-monsoon. Groundnut shell is highly porous, offering excellent dry binding and consistent heat. Sourced directly from processing mills in the Saurashtra ceramic/oil hub.
Cotton Stalks & Sawdust
Harvested after cotton picking. Cotton stalks are shredded and hammer-milled. High carbon content provides a long, steady combustion cycle ideal for continuous textile and chemical boiler runs.
Mustard Husk & Crop Residues
Sourced from the agricultural belts of North Gujarat. Mustard husk has a naturally low moisture profile (<8%) and high calorific density, perfect for co-firing projects and grate boilers.
